Yellow Taxis

Taxis in Colombia are yellow vehicles. El Dorado International Airport offers an official taxi service, which can be easily found after passing through the international arrivals exit. The two (2) authorized taxi companies are: Taxi Imperial and Radio Taxi Aeropuerto. Preferably, request the service by calling or using mobile applications such as: Taxis Libres and Cabify. The driver must charge the passenger a standard fare according to the units shown on the taximeter (you can consult the equivalence of fares and units in a price table available inside the vehicle). When taking a taxi, the taximeter must show the basic fare (28 units); this will increase according to the distance traveled. There is an extra charge for special services such as going to the airport at night, among others. The minimum fare for a trip is COP $4,500 (approx USD $1.5) (*reference values 2022).
