This workshop invites reflection on the instrument of authorisation for the processing of personal data in the digital economy, welcoming contributions on topics such as:

Philosophical approaches to individual freedom in relation to control over one’s own personal information.

Informational self-determination, habeas data, or personal data protection?

Authorisation as a legal act or agreement viewed through the lens of the general theory of contracts or legal acts (negotium).

Authorisation and the legal bases for the processing of personal data.

How to manage authorisations: entry and exit rights arising from authorisation, dynamic and differentiated authorisations, and revocation.

Behavioural economics and its impact on consent.
