  • Judicial Perspective (Justices):
  • Natalia Ángel Cabo: Justice of the Constitutional Court of Colombia. She will contribute a practical and jurisprudential perspective from a court in the Global South that is a pioneer in the protection of biocultural and environmental rights.
  • Miguel Polo Rosero: Justice of the Constitutional Court of Colombia. He will provide insights into the Colombian constitutional adjudication framework in light of the tensions between development, mining/infrastructure, and the ecological crisis.
  • Academic Perspective (Scholars):
  • Tania Groppi: A renowned Italian scholar (University of Siena) and expert in comparative constitutional law. Her approach will allow for a comparison of judicial responses to climate change from both a European and a global perspective.
  • Melanie Murcott: Professor at the University of Cape Town and the University of Pretoria. She will provide an in-depth analysis of environmental justice, climate vulnerability, and transformative litigation in the context of the Global South.
